Basically, CORD is seen as a reference solution of edge cloud. In fact, in many business usecases, the value of edge cloud depend on how many new service and new revenue can be introduced by edge cloud including operator and 3rd party(such as OTT player). Thus in order to expand the benefit from CORD, it is proposed to explore how to realize “network edge as service “by CORD.The experience and deployment about how to provide “network edge as service“ in mobile scenario both in single CORD PoD and multi CORD PoDs will be introduced. In addition, to facilitate “network edge as service“ , the requirements of container and microservice in CORD architecture is necessary and urgent.
