More and more enterprises are on the path to modernize their IT infrastructure through cloud adoption. This requires a change in approach to procurement and provisioning, a move from CAPEX to OPEX models. Therefore, cost management becomes a central pillar in an entprise's cloud journey. However, many enterprises don't look at ongoing cost management beyond the initial sizing exercise. This leads to (sometimes massive) cost overruns. In this presentation, we discuss some cost management strategies and best practices to monitor and control costs through an enterprise's cloud journey. Cost overruns often are a big reason for enterprises to abandon cloud adoption. When implemented correctly, the best practices described in this presentation ensure enterprise success on cloud, and prevent cloud churn.
