This panel will explore the interplay of verification programs, validation projects and relevant standard bodies as they establish their new roles in the LFN umbrella structure. The panel has lead constituents from the ONAP/OPNFV communities, participants in the OPNFV Verified Program (OVP) / ETSI NFV Plugtest events and core contributors in ETSI NFV and IETF standards.

OPNFV defines a system that is mainly comprised of NFVI and VIM elements. Under the newly minted LFN structure, there are opportunities for ONAP and OPNFV to collaborate further with validation projects that integrate an ONAP driven MANO. Recent graduates of OVP will cover the business value of using the program to showcase ‘hardened’ commercial solutions based on open-source. The role of ETSI NFV / IETF test standards and commercial test vendors in enabling LFN validation and verification projects will be discussed.
