Kubernetes has clearly emerged as the mind share leader in the race for container orchestration. Now, what will this new world, which has embraced Kubernetes look like in a few years?

Technologies like this automate and commoditize away whole industries at once. For instance, when the cloud took off - The IT infrastructure procurement, engineering and associated roles disappeared. The flip side was that it was easier to start companies, and go to market by relying on the cloud.

Another fundamental shift happened when the iPhone came about - the non-smart phone market disappeared. The flip side was that a new industry of apps emerged.

As a technical leader, this talk will share my vision of what this new world will look like, how to get there, what role open source will play in this, and how an enterprise of today can prepare for the new world to maximize the benefits from it.
