Dr Jamil Chawki leads Orange AI Marketplace at Intrapreneurs Studio. He is Chariman of the Outreach Committee of the Linux Foundation AI Foundation. He was in charge of IT and cloud networks open source activity at Orange and convenor of the Collaborative Teams between ITU-T and ISO/IEC JTC1 on cloud computing. Jamil is a founding member of OpenDaylight Advisory Group and Member of ONAP Technical Committee. Before this position, Jamil was a Director of Enterprise 2.0 research program working on Software as a Service marketplace architecture for France Telecom. In 2004 he was incharge of the first Fibre To The Home Triple Play pilot project for Jordan Telecom. From 2000 to 2002, Jamil was Chairman and CEO of a telecom operator in Lebanon ‘Ogero Telecom’. His main responsibilities were to manage the network and Information System (OSS/BSS) restructuring and to supervise the implementation of the first Gigabit Ethernet network in the Middle East region.
