Dr. Wei Zhou is a director in Network Technology Research Institute of China Unicom. He has more than 10 years of experience in telecommunication technologies development and more than 5 patents granted in USA and EU as the first inventor. Now he is the member of ONF Use case steering member and the vice-chairman of testbeds team of Alliance of industry internet.
After received his Ph.D degree in telecom engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications in 2007, he joined in Technicolor (Thomson), and engaged in ETSI DVB standardization. Since 2011, he has been working in China Unicom and taking various technology research and management roles, covering mobile communication, new generation networks and Internet of things. In recent years, he is responsible for technology strategy and open source platform. He is the speaker in ONS 2016,2017, and the speaker in LinuxCon ContainerCon CloudOpen China 2017.
